I feel that the color of our skin doesn't have any affect on our success. If it did, there would not be any African Americans in the industry. I think the whole light skin vs dark skin cliche is so overrated and the color of our skin should not matter. Success is the only focus of the minds of all people, light and dark. It's not about the color of your skin, but about what YOU can be. What can you do to be successful? Thats what matters most, and how we can become better as people.
What do you think about what J. Cole had to say about being less successful if he and Barack Obama were dark skin?

I agree with you YungJanizzle. Your skin pigmentation should not depict your amount of success. You can be as successful as you allow yourself to be in life.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you! J. Cole started off as an underground artist and is now mainstream. Some people get into mainstream and go viral for just a moment. He is a great artist that does great things now, so therefore he should not be criticized by the color of his skin.
